From the coast of Maine and New Hampshire, Ethereal Rot delivers a Blackened Technical Death Metal experience filled with brutality, technical precision, and a dark atmosphere inspired by cosmic horror. Active since 2019, the band enters a new chapter with guitarist Brett Horton and bassist Taylor Belanger, both formerly of The Last King, joining the lineup and strengthening their already powerful sound. They are currently promoting Ophidian Womb, the first single from their highly anticipated debut album Ethereal Rot, arriving on July 17th, 2026. The album presents a conceptual journey inspired by Lovecraftian horror, cosmic entities, and the mother god storyline written by vocalist Cody Moreau.
Ophidian Womb explores a universe of cosmic horror, spiritual corruption, and existential darkness through an intense narrative filled with disturbing imagery and apocalyptic themes.
