Devoid - Culture War (Deathcore)
Los húngaros Devoid se han ganando un lugar sólido dentro del deathcore gracias a su fuerza cruda y un enfoque directo que no se anda por las ramas. Hoy regresan con más de su álbum Culture War, donde el tema homónimo destaca por su energía frenética y su discurso sin filtros.

La letra se lanza de lleno contra la división política y social, señalando cómo ciertos grupos terminan manipulando valores y opiniones hasta convertirlos en armas. Desde la primera línea, queda claro que la banda quiere incomodar y hacer reflexionar. La canción habla de cómo se desgasta el pensamiento propio cuando todo se reduce a bandos, remarcando la frustración de vivir en un entorno donde la verdad se distorsiona para beneficio de unos cuantos.
La música de Devoid
Musicalmente, nos trae otro temazo cargado de furia, con un sonido impecable y un trabajo de producción que se impone. Los riffs de guitarra son brutales y agresivos, mientras que la batería marca un ritmo demoledor que no da espacio para respirar. El bajo añade ese cuerpo denso, mientas que la voz visceral y enérgica remata con un tono desgarrador. The Hungarian death metal band Devoid keeps proving they know exactly how to turn rage into sharp, heavy sound. Their song, Culture War, carries the same intensity they’ve been showing while promoting their latest full-length record.
Culture War tackles political division head-on. The song digs into how society keeps getting split apart, guided by values that are twisted by those in power. Lines like “Cancel culture’s weight crashes the free will down” set the tone right away. For me, the message points to how easy it is to lose our own judgment when everything becomes a fight between sides. And when they shout “Chains of your bigotry will always drag you down”, it hits with the same weight as their riffs.
On the musical side, Devoid unleashes another furious track with polished production and sharp execution. The guitars feel brutal and punchy, the drums hit like a hammer, and the bass adds a thick layer that anchors everything. The vocals tear through the mix with raw energy. Personally, I like how the track keeps shifting; it grabs you from the start and doesn’t let go.
