Midwinter se siente como un descenso lento hacia un invierno emocional y existencial donde la naturaleza, el tiempo y la memoria comienzan a desmoronarse. Desde los árboles desnudos hasta el hielo consumiendo el mundo, todo dentro de la canción transmite una sensación de final inevitable.
