La letra habla de un amor intenso, dañino y adictivo. Me atrapó la frase “I know I’m better off without you but that makes me want you more”. Es una contradicción honesta y brutal, algo que muchos hemos sentido.
La rola gira en torno a esa tensión emocional, entre lo que duele y lo que deseamos. El coro “Where there’s smoke there’s fire, but I’ve never been higher” transmite esa mezcla de placer y caos. Para mí, es una narrativa de autodestrucción emocional, disfrazada de adrenalina y pasión.
