World Brain - Life in Theory (Dream Pop)

World Brain is the solo project of Lucas Ufo from Fenster, a project deeply interested in the growing computerization of everyday life and the ways technology reshapes human connection. He now presents Life in Theory, the first single from his upcoming EP WORLD VS BRAIN, out October 9. Blending romanticism with a sharper critical perspective, the project uses dream pop as a space to explore the tension between our increasingly digital world and the human emotions that continue to exist beneath it.
With a dreamy atmosphere and soft vocal nuances, Life in Theory turns digital isolation into a story about human connection. The song imagines a floating bottle drifting across the ocean that suddenly comes alive through a love story. Japanese musician Kumisolo — Kumi Okamoto, known for The Konki Duet and Crazy Curl — adds airy flute lines and delicate lead vocals, giving the track an immersive texture. Moving through bedroom pop and lo-fi pop territory, the song captures the transition from abstract existence to genuine connection: a lonely signal finally answered, transforming theory into something deeply felt.
