Coming from Brooklyn’s independent music scene, Sublunar Minds has spent more than a decade crafting a sound where funk, soul, and pop blend together with remarkable authenticity. Deeply inspired by the classic Motown and Stax sounds of the ‘60s and ‘70s, the band combines raw grooves, vibrant horn sections, layered guitars, and emotionally rich songwriting into something both timeless and refreshing. Their new release, Take Care Of What You Got, is the first of three songs recorded completely live with a full soul band at Trout Recordings, capturing the rare magic that only happens when musicians create together in the same room.
