Son Lux - Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother (Experimental)

American experimental music band Son Lux, formed by Ryan Lott’s solo project before expanding into a trio with guitarist Rafiq Bhatia and drummer Ian Chang, presents Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, its original soundtrack for the Mahershala Ali-starring film, taking its distinctive sonic language into cinematic, hypnotic, and deeply emotional territory.
For this work, Son Lux expands its commitment to experimentation and reinvention, creating a soundworld as mysterious as it is reverent. Yearning vocals, pounding electronic beats, and digitally stretched textures shape an epic, profound, and majestic atmosphere. The production allows every element to move between intimacy and grandeur, exploring the desperation of parenthood, the connection between grief and love, and an idea of divinity understood as a shifting spectrum. The result is immersive, unsettling, and hypnotic, with an intensity that constantly transforms.
