Built around experimentation, Mequetrefe explores emotions connected to difficult experiences and the process of breaking free from them.
With JUSTICE (Bjork Vocal Chop), Mequetrefe creates a dark, dense, and deeply experimental atmosphere in which electronic textures and industrial and noise influences generate an immersive listening experience. The vocal fragments of Björk, taken from Declare Independence, become one of the track’s key expressive elements. Rather than functioning as a conventional vocal performance, they are integrated into the sonic structure through cuts and manipulation, adding depth, tension, and a distinctly hypnotic quality.
