From Estonia, Face Collector emerges as a new force in extreme music, featuring current and former members of bands such as Sociasylum and Goresoerd. With a dark and violent approach, the band presents Letter, their second single, turning black metal intensity into a vehicle for exploring ghostly presences, memory and words that seem to outlive the people who wrote them.
The lyrics of Letter explore the blurred line between memory, identity and presence: an unreadable letter becomes a connection to those who are gone, eventually raising the unsettling question of whether the words belong to the narrator or to the ghosts surrounding them. Musically, the track is dense and crushing, driven by razor-sharp riffs that race over an unforgiving rhythmic foundation. Meanwhile, the visceral, torn vocal delivery intensifies an atmosphere so dark and heavy that it hits hard and refuses to let go. The production reinforces this suffocating sensation, while aggressive textures keep the track locked in a relentless landscape of speed, darkness and raw intensity.
