La banda Ervsed —pronunciado “Erased”— ha construido una identidad sonora marcada por la intensidad emocional del metalcore, pero también por una constante exploración de texturas que expanden su propuesta. En esta ocasión, participan en un álbum tributo impulsado por Pacific Ridge Records, sello independiente de San Diego, presentando su versión de New Kid, tema originalmente interpretado por Finch.

Based in Placerville, California, Ervsed —pronounced “Erased”— has built a sound rooted in the emotional intensity of metalcore while constantly exploring new textures that expand their identity. This time, the band joins a tribute compilation organized by Pacific Ridge Records, an independent label based in San Diego, with their own version of New Kid, originally performed by Finch. Rather than simply recreating the song, they reshape it into something far more atmospheric and emotionally immersive.
The lyrics of New Kid revolve around loss, hope, and the need to hold on to the idea of reuniting with someone important after absence. As for this version, Ervsed successfully preserves the essence of Finch’s original while maintaining the melancholic atmosphere that made it memorable.
