ctrlfrk es un proyecto independiente liderado por Steve Dwyer. Aunque Vicious Cycle fue lanzada en 2023, es de esas rolas que vale la pena redescubrir, porque siempre es cool encontrarte con propuestas bien hechas fuera del radar mainstream.

La letra aborda ese estado mental en el que te sientes atrapado, girando en círculos sin encontrar salida. Habla de ansiedad, frustración y del peso del pasado que no deja avanzar. La canción conecta porque no intenta disfrazar el caos interno, al contrario, lo expone tal cual es, incluso con líneas crudas como “It’s fucking obnoxious”, que refuerzan la desesperación y el hartazgo del narrador.
