Cold Engines - To Know You (Indie Rock)
To Know You

Hailing from Boston’s North Shore, Cold Engines has built a strong identity by blending retro-wave aesthetics, power pop melodies, and hook-driven rock with a fresh modern edge. Led by David Drouin and Aaron Zaroulis, formerly of The Brew, the band has remained incredibly active since 2015, releasing multiple albums and performing extensively alongside artists such as Los Lobos, Blues Traveler, and Rustic Overtones. Their latest single, To Know You, serves as the final preview of their upcoming album and delivers a vibrant mix of vintage-inspired rock pop and danceable energy.
To Know You immediately stands out thanks to its immersive sound, polished production, and infectious groove. Vibrant guitars drive the track forward while the rhythm section creates a smooth momentum that feels both energetic and hypnotic. The song carries a subtle funky and psychedelic vibe throughout, adding texture and movement without losing its melodic focus. The production keeps everything balanced and spacious, allowing the vocals to shine through with bright tones and expressive nuances. The track explores the realization that people are often more complicated and unpredictable than we initially believe, creating an emotional contrast against the song’s upbeat and danceable atmosphere.
