Fugue State es un proyecto colaborativo encabezado por el compositor, productor e ingeniero Dan Langa desde Northampton, Massachusetts. Fugue State is a collaborative project led by Northampton, Massachusetts-based composer, producer, and engineer Dan Langa. Rather than functioning as a traditional band, the project acts as a sonic laboratory where recordings with rotating musicians are reshaped into immersive and emotionally abstract soundscapes. They are currently promoting Floating, a preview from their upcoming album After Nothing Comes, set for release on May 22, 2026.
Floating feels like a meditation on emotional distance, memory, and unresolved connection. The song circles around the idea of separation, using the ocean as a metaphor for the space that grows between people emotionally and physically. Musically, this new preview from the upcoming album is hypnotic, deeply organic, and highly experimental.
